hello. long time no entry which is down to the fact that funds were low after waiting to get paid from work i did at the begining of april...all isgood now though....i have money!!!!!

i am in bowen -the place that produces the higest amount of tomates in oz...and 55% of them end up in sydney (wow...look at my knowledge!!!) i have been working at planting tomato plants and also been working in a factory making sun dreid toms which is very good money and good as not in the sun all day. so far i have planted tomates, picked toimatoes, fixed tomatoes, packed tomatoes and now i cooking tomatoes...so i am quite happy if i never see another one again!!!!

i love it here. there are so many beautful beaches surronded byu corla and reefs...so on my days off i head to the beach and do a bit of snorkling.i love it here so much better than the last place. i am still with carlyand clodagh and i am sharing my room with alex and erna...from germany. they are great and we get on so well. its nice that i will be staying with them for a while and not having different people all the time. the hostel is great and clean however there has been an influx of riish ...and we all know what the rish have a reptuation for...and boy do they drink.they are in the room either side of us so ther is plently of entertainment!!!

thursday we had a bbq with the hostle sot hat we could all get to know each other....had a few too many but had a good time. then friday was AZAC day which is like our remberance day so we went to the local rsl an there were sailors, army and ariforce guys there...had a good day....spent only$4 including food!!!!then i was working saturday at 7am so that wasnt pretty...i could feel the tomatoesg ettingto me....did a 9 hour shft whcih nearly killed me!!! i was in bed by9pm...after another bbq and few relaxing beers. sunday we went to the local markets, supermartket and the went to look at the boat- HMAS tarakan- built in 1975 and used for trasnporting troops and army stuff. it was a small boat but very intersting. we then headed up the lookout at the top of the hill....can see for miles and its beauctful around here. we then had another bbq on the beach and went snorling...had such a good weekend....it was great.

hopefully i am working in a packing shed tomorrow...packing corn and peas. not as good as the tomato factory but better than picking anything. hope you are all well, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
