Everyone woke up around 7am and the boys went straight out to check for eggs again. They were banned from entering the farm house as the Hilders were all going off to work today and we thought they would prefer peace while they got ready!! Kerryl left at 9am for work so Lew, Nick and the kids went off in the Ute to clean out water troughs. While they were gone I had a long hot shower and then walked the dog through the paddock up to the dam for a swim. She took no interest in the sheep but tried chasing a few birds and barked at the shed as the wind was rattling the roof!! I sat and had a coffee in peace and quiet the spent the rest of the morning making a potato salad for dinner. Everyone came back to the farm for coffee and lunch so I drove into Narrogin and got sandwiches and pies from the bakery and picked up groceries for a dessert. While the men carried on with farm chores I made a few more salads and a sticky date pudding. Katharine learnt how to drive the 4-wheel motorbike and spent the afternoon doing bog laps around the farm with the boys on the back!! Kerryl got back and we took the dog for another walk then Nick cooked a BBQ and Ky and I did the tidying up - it was great to give Lew and Kerryl dinner after staying with them for three nights.
