On the drive to New Orleans we stopped for dinner in Jsckson at the two sisters kitchen buffet it was in a old house and they were serving home cooked southern food and we had the nicest southern fried chicken ever.
We arrived in New Orleans and as soon as we got there we had a safety talk because it's a really dodgy place (don't worry everyone I stayed with Becky all night) and most of the city we were told not to venture into, so we didn't, but saying that the hotel we stayed in was amazing and not only because we didn't have to put the tents up :-) but it was good not doing it for 2 nights.
We all got ready and met the rest of the group had a "few" drinks and headed to bourbon street. The first bar sold the strongest drink in New Orleans and it was in a glass shaped like a grenade (I'll try and get a picture on) and whats great about New Orleans you can drink on the streets.
The next bar we went to was a karaoke bar haha and they sold a drink called a hurricane $8 and it was huge and very alcoholic, I was dancing around with 2 of them because the Danish girls are only 20 so they had to sneak a drink from one of them all night not that the staff were bothered.
After a night of terrible singing and far to much photographic evidence we put the Danes in a taxi because they were really drunk and headed off to a burger bar, it advertised the best burger in the world and we couldn't argue, it was so good! As soon as we got to the hotel we went to check on the danish girls, lina and lisbeth and one was curled around the toilet while the other was crying about being drunk. I went outside to finish my burger while Becky and nicole helped them into bed.
All in all a really really good night and nothing happened to anyone even after the welsh girl, maria, wandered off on her own and had to get the police to bring her back.
