We had left the curtains open again and I woke to an orange sky. I woke Shivani but it was cloudy again so she couldn't get good pictures. So she closed the curtains and we went back to sleep.
We got up again quite early but lazied in bed and watched a bit of tv, till Shivani got hungry for breakfast. I jumped in our plunge pool to wake myself up and then we set off for the restaurant. We had the usual breakfast which I was kind of bored of by now.
We then headed to reception to see if they could help with our flight and book the transfer tomorrow. They said they would look into it for us so we went out to enjoy our last day in the resort.
The sea seemed calmer in the morning so we went in for a dip. It was a little cold but less rough than yesterday. We did a little jumping around in the waves before coming back to our cabana to relax. The receptionist came over and said she would help me book our flight online so I went with her to sort it out. The website didn't work however and she have me a number where I could phone and book. So I went to the room and phoned up and made the reservation. It had taken a lot of time and I was annoyed by it all. I took a dip in our pool with Shivani to relax again.
As it was our last day Shivani wanted to take some pictures. We went out with her camera and took various shots on the beach, in the pool and on the cabanas. People looking must have thought we looked funny but it was quieter today as the weekend crowd had gone and we got some good shots.
After we decided to book our hotel in Rio and quickly decided on one on Copacabana beach. We then had a lunch of tropical salad and chips. It was late afternoon now and we enjoyed the last of the sun before heading to our room and having a dip in our heated pool. We stayed there till it started to feel a little cold and then went and showered up before watching some tv before dinner.
When we got hungry we went up to have our cocktails on the terrace before heading down to dinner. We hadn't been asked what Shivani wanted for dinner so would order from the menu. We got a bottle of wine first that Shivani really liked. It was a 2007 and it seemed that was a good year for South American wines.
Shivani got a chickpea soup to start which was quite nice. For mains I ordered a duck rice which turned out to be really nice and Shivani ordered the risotto that she had on the first day. However this time it was not good and she sent it back. The waiter apologised and said we could have a complementary dessert. Shivani had a chocolate mousse and I had a dulce de leche cake. They were both really good and after finishing our wine we went to the room.
I watched a little tv and Shivani fell asleep. I joined her shortly after to enjoy our last night in our big bed.
