Bus at 8, only another quick one today and arrived in the rain about 10. Checked in but couldn't get into the room til 2 so went for a wander with Alicia. Saw the Kapelbruke (chapel bridge) a completely wooden bridge with religious paintings on it. Found the tourist office and saw a advert for a big shopping mall. Decided to get the bus out there as the rain was awful. Shopping centre not actually that big but good to wander about, neither of is bought anything, miracle! Came back into town via the bus and got off near the hostel. Sat and waited for the room to be ready and went up when it was. a ten bed dorm but really nice. three sets of bunk beds and four normal beds, grabbed one of the latter and settled in. Decided to post some bits and pieces home so got the package sorted any headed off the post office. Got a little lost and this very helpful (if not slightly mad) german guy helped us to find it. Had to fill in lots of paperwork for parcel so took a while in there. Headed back in a wandering way to the hostel. Had a little look in some of the shops, they love their flag over here! Came back and had a bit of a crash before heading out again in search of dinner. Found lots of restaurants on the river front. All quite pricey until Pickwicks English Pub. Felt very at home and even had sausage, egg and chips! Was very yummy. strange to be in pub again. Not Goose prices tho, £5 for a pint of lager and £7 for a single gin and tonic! Even my tiny coke (less than a half) was £2.25! Ouch. Went back to the hostel after dinner and repacked bags. Was early to bed with my puzzle book and book.
