Bloody bathroom door! Went down to breakfast and managed to quickly grab something before they closed, very stroppy man telling me off for being late. Then tried to use the internet but after 2 powercuts, the mouse not working and then the connection failing, gave up! Came back up and had a good old faff. Sorted some stuff out for posting home and repacked my bags. Had a good long shower and finally left the hostel at 1 30. Headed for Port Vell, had a pleasant wander about. much changed from previous trips, much more developed. Got some pasta for lunch in cafe and had a little sit. Came back into the town and went up to La Ramblas. Looked through the market stalls and headed to the net for a while. Met Emily and Nick for the bike tour at the Columbus monument at 4. Bike tour good again. Managed to fall off bike tho. Some stupid boys were playing football and despite seeing me one of them decided to kick the ball towards his friend who of course backed into me, excellent. Wasn't badly hurt tho and kept on with tour. Saw some parts of the city I wouldn't have gone to otherwise, the Eixample, Olympic City, Parliament buildings, Parc Cituella? and the Sagrada. so changed from last time as well, got a lot more on it, apparently even the start of a roof! Stopped at a beach bar for a while and tho windy was good to sit and chat to the others on the tour. Headed back to bike shop along the beach. Very disappointed when I got back to the shop to find that they only had long sleeved extra large t shirts to give to me as my free t shirt (as I've done all three) wasn't very impressed to be honest. Paid a bit extra for a not so nice one and am a little disgruntled! Met Kirsten with the others at 8 30 and went to the Magic Fountain. Very impressive. The water is choreographed to music and they have shows with different types of music. All the ones we saw were classical but have heard of Robbie Williams and Backstreet Boys being played! Headed back to La Ramblas and walked on through. Was getting tired and stressed so left the others and went to the net with Kirsten. Spent a while there and started back to the hostel. Couldn't find a taxi anywhere so headed back on foot - really not what I wanted but had no choice. Reasonably well lit all the way back and think the guides were being overcautious but still fairly nervous. Managed to get hold of Arthur, Suzy and Henry and had a chat on the way back. Really good to speak to them. came into hostel about 1 and passed out.
