Disturbed sleep again. room mate came in at 3am drunk and made quite a lot of noise. Also decided that it was better to make her bed then instead of when she had arrived at 8pm. I disagree and we had a couple of words. Didn't mind being woken but there's a level of consideration needed. humph! Got up at 6 30 and got the bus at 8. Managed to get the direct one to Florence so was pleased. Stopped off on the way to Orvieto. A small town with a massive church, similar to the Florence style with grey and white lined walls. Had a walk around and got funicular there and back. Still not feeling too healthy so was glad to get on the bus again. Arrived in Florence just gone 1, made very good time. Was the first to check in and got to cabin. Basic but fine. Shower blocks tho and quite a distance to the nearest loo and shower but only for one night. Had an explore and used internet. Came back and had a little snooze and read my book. Woke up ten mins before meeting for the orientation walk, oops! Made it on time and headed into town. Had a brief wander around and was reminded of Gabriel and our venture into the world of backpacking! Saw the Uffizi Gallery, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio on the tour before going to eat. Big group dinner, 15 euro for four course meal. all courses great, bruchetta, pasta with spinach, steak with salad and gelato. was very stuffed! Got taxi back with some others as a fair walk to the bus stop both ends. Came back and crashed.
