Got up a little later than usual for some reason and made the 11 am shuttle bus into town. Found Venice more beautiful than I remembered. Had a good walk around the town getting thoroughly lost but in a good way. Crossed the Academia Bridge on the way and wound up at San Marco square along with many tourists and even more pigeons.
