As an optional extra of the tour, we joined the group in a scenic cruise across Lake Lucerne to the village of Stans, where we took the cable car and railway up to the view point of the whole of the alpines of Switzerland. Absolutely stunning, although it was overcast and cool, it was a beautiful experience. We had a siesta in the afternoon and walked around the city for the last time. We had a sleep in today- till 6.30am! Lucky us...we said goodbye to Amsterdam for now and headed over the border to Germany. We stopped at the Black Forest region where they make cuckoo clocks. We then stopped at Schaffhausen to view the Rhine Falls in Switzerland. We stayed in Switzerland for two nights and enjoyed walking around the city before dinner. It was such a beautiful place!
