We started the day with a one hour bus tour throughout Salzburg, it was good to see some things we haven't seen before and learn more about the history, but wouldn't rate it. 2 hours via train and we had reached Salzburg, super excited! After having lunch and getting to our accommodation, we caught the bus to downtown Salzburg and had a stroll. Salzburg was a very pretty place. We walked through Mirabell Garden and then had a coffee in front of Mozart's birthplace turned museum! Then chilled with takeaway Chinese watching the World Cup, can't understand the commentary but oh well. Really shouldn't complain!

Dachau: concentration camp and memorial tour - the first major concentration camp 18kms outside Munich, the 'Academy of Terror.' The Arbeit macht frei ('Freedom through work') gate remained a cruel and sinister emblem. It also became the first memorial site in post-war Germany. Today we started with a really fantastic walking tour throughout Munich City centre with an American who has been living in Munich for 6 years. 3am starts are not cool! We had to wake early and drive to Granada Airport to catch our flight to Munich. 3 hours later we were in Germany! We caught a taxi to our accommodation, maybe our luck of being able to solely rely on the metro system is over, however we did not have a map at this stage.
