Today I went up to Glasgow for the day to go a Scottish Premier League Soccer match and to have a bit of a look around Glasgow.
I got up there at about 12:30 and just had a look around the shops near the station and watched a celtic rock band performing on the side of the street as well for a while.
Then I went back to the station and asked a couple of people how to get to the stadium and found out it was going to take longer than I expected so I was in a bit of rush to get there. I ended up missing the first 10 minutes of the game, but I didn't miss any goals so it doesn't really matter. The game was the Celtics Vs Dundee Utd and at the of the 1st half it was 1-0 the Celtics way, so the home crowd were very happy. But the second half they tried to just bottle the game up and play very defensively which was really annoying and with the very last push forward of the game Dundee Utd scored the equaliser. I was sitting right behind the goals at one end but unfortunately both goals happened at the other end. The was a lot of cursing going on around me as I left and people seemed to be in a pretty crappy mood from it so I thought it would be better to just head back to Edinburgh rather than hang around.
When I got back I went back to the comedy club I went to on the first night. I figured being a Saturday night it would be a lot better and it was. I sat next to a couple from Yorkshire and a really nice old couple from Wales. I had a really good talk to the guy while we were waiting for the show. A lot about engineering as he is an electrical/ mechanical engineer and that's the sort of path I'm thinking of going down so that was quite interesting talking to him about that. But the show itself was really good this time all the acts were really good. I'd seen one of them on Wednesday night but the rest I hadn't and were very funny. So that was a lot of fun.
I got a text from Pedro saying that they were back from their highlands tour, so I went back to the hostel to meet him. We then went out with a few of his friends to a couple of bars, one which was really dodgy and then just him and I went back to the club we went to on the pub crawl. It was a lot more crowded being a saturday night and there were a lot of weird people there so it wasn't as much fun as last time, so we didn't end up staying there for that long. Pedro leaves tomorrow morning pretty early so he had to get back anyway. But it was a lot of fun spending time with him over the last few days. Hopefully we can catch up again either if he comes to Australia or if I go to Spain.
