I'm in Edinburgh!
I had quite a dodgy flight in but it got me here. But before that I had to take 3 buses to get from Anaelle's place to the airport which took almost 2 hours. But Anaelle had given me really good directions on how to transfer buses so it wasn't a problem. I ended up getting to the airport about 2 and a half hours before my flight and I go through border security the fastest I ever have I think, it only took about 5 minutes. Then I went and had a completely overpriced lunch at the foodhall, did a bit of souvenir shopping and then got on the plane. It was only about a 2 hour flight but it was quite turbulent. As soon as I left the plane in Edinburgh I found out why. It was absolutely freezing and really windy. I think I'm going to have to buy some warmer clothes tomorrow.
But after that I went to the information centre at the airport to work out how the hell to get to my hostel, which probably would have been a good thing to do before I left. But the lady there was really helpful and gave me heaps of brochures and maps and told me what I should do while I'm here which was really good. But she told me to get a bus from the airport to the royal mile and showed me on the map how to get to the hostel from there. But over the 1 hour bus journey I forgot what she told me so I ended having to ask a few people where to go and eventually found it. I went in to this one souvenir shop where they had a bagpipe version of the coldplay song 'clocks' playing and they gave me really good directions. But I asked them who the band was playing it, and they were called 'the red hot chilli pipers' which i thought was pretty cool.
But once I found the hostel, I went to check in at the desk which is right at the front of the hostel where there were about 11 other people doing the same thing. I could hardly get in the door with my oversized bag. But once I finally did get checked in, I went and checked out my room which only has about 5 people staying in it even though it's a 10 person room which actually good. I've got a whole section of the room completely to myself. But the room is really clean and secure. It's got a key for the room and then a locker and a safe inside the locker for valuables. And just to get in to the hostel you've got to show this pink card. But it's really clean and there's a pool table down stairs as well. So it looks all round very good. But I had a chat to Sue and Selena who are two Irish girls who are in my room just over here for a few days and then going back to Ireland. They were both really nice.
But then I went over to this stand up comedy places only about 5 minutes walk away that I'd seen advertised in the hostel and in a couple of brochures. The line-up was pretty good except for this one Australian guy who's whole routine was about Davaid Hicks. But other than that it was pretty funny for a wednesday night and a £7 show. But I stayed for a beer there and then went back to the royal mile and the hostel and asked an american girl that I had met earlier how the pub she and her friends went to was and they said it was pretty good and it had good music on. That was just over the road so I went over there. I just sat at the bar and listened to the band who were really good, just a chilled out kind of blues band. But I also had a good talk to the bartender who was from Sydney and a woman next to me from Colorado in the states. But they were both living over here and love it, so the gave me a map from the bar and told me heaps of good places to go. So that map will be like my bible, except the legend of it just tells you where things are rather than of a man who may or may not have lived about 2000 years ago. But other than that, it's just like a bible. But yeah that was fun I have heaps of things to go and see and do. I think I'm going to have a really good time in Edinburgh.

Da fada But stop starting sentences and paragraphs with "But". Otherwise, very good work :-). (And I'll start stopping it too!)
