Today because the weather was actually ok today I did the boat trip along the Seine.

It was really nice. The whole thing lasted about an hour and wen from Pont de l'Alma up past Notre Dame a bit and then back the other way past the moorings, to the Eifel Tower and then back. The whole thing was narrated in about 5 different languages including English and Japanese. For the English guide the guy always said port and starboard and for where things were. But I couldn't remember which one was left and which one was right, so I listened to the description of the place and then I waited for the Japanese version to see whether they said "hidari" (left) or "migi" (right) and then I would know which way to look and what to take photos of. It was good because even if I didn't hear what the guy said English I could normally catch it in Japanese when it came on.

I sat on the top deck for the majority of it but half way back it got really cold because we were going in to the wind so I went down in to the sheltered bit. But other than that it was really comfortable and quite nice. It was good to see everything from that perspective.

Afterwards I walked from from the moorings up to the Champs Elysées and then took the subway up to Notre Dame and found a book shop where Michelle, a friend of dad's, had lived for a while. It was actually quite cool to see that knowing that someone I know had been there. But after that I just got A nutella crêpe and went back to Anaëlle's place.

But not long after I got back, Anaëlle also got back and then we got ready for one of friend's 18th birthday which her friend had kindly asked me long to as well. I just got her a scarf and some chocolate which she seemed to like enough. She was half french half Japanese so I managed to speak in English and a bit of Japanese to her. I was lucky a few people there spoke English so I had a few good chats with people. But most of the night I spent with Anaëlle and her best friend who was also Japanese just chilling away from the main group who were all smoking. But, for just a small get together it wasn't too bad, I had fun.
