I'm just chilling in a French cafe just in town near Anaëlle's place. Trying to speak French has been interesting, but I've worked out how to ask "do you speak English" in French and luckily everyone I've asked so far has been able to.

I had quite a long flight yesterday, it was 12 hours but I managed to sleep for most of it but I'm still really tired because of the jet lag. And the second flight through zurich was ok as well.

Anaëlle and her mum kindly came to pick me up at the airport and then on the way back to their place we drove right through the heart of Paris and saw the arc du triumph, the louvre and the champs elysées and so on which was really cool. It was really beautiful and I'll be going to have a good look around a few times.

I'm just about to walk back to their place along the senne.
