Today I went with Anaëlle in to the heart of Paris and saw the outside of the Louvre (we're going to go back and do it all later), Notre-Dame cathedral and then went to the Eiffel Tower.
Just seeing the outside of the Louvre was pretty cool with the big glass pyramid and everything. I recognised quite a lot of it from seeing the Da Vinci Code. I've recognised quite a lot of Paris actually, either from the Da Vinci Code or from the Tour de France.
But from there, we walked through Châtelet and I got a ham and cheese crêpe which are two of the few french words I know, "Jambon et Fromage crêpe", but I tried ordering in French and straight away the guy said so a ham and cheese crêpe, so my french obviously needs work.
But then we saw the Notre-Dame cathedral which was pretty cool. It was quite a nice church, the stained glass windows are pretty cool.
Then from there we went to the Eiffel Tower just as the sun was starting to set and then we fnally got to the top when the sun just finished setting. It was quite cool being able to see all of Paris at day time and night at once. Being up the very top was very cool but also very cold. I think we only ended up staying up there for about 20 minutes. But it was enough time to check off two things from my list of things to do in Paris. So it was quite a good day being able to have such a good look around Paris.
