After spending a week in Fribourg we finally got our new fuel pump, at great expense, and were back on the road!
We were now quite behind in where we wanted to be, but checking the weather forecast for the UK we decided we were in no hurry to get back there. The forecast for France was still better than the UK's, so we booked ourselves into a campground not far from Paris and spent a few days wondering around their walking tracks through the forest.
It was wonderful, apart for the odd rain storm that came through. On the campgrounds website that said you may see deer, squirrels and other wildlife in their forest, and we did. We also saw quite a number of birds, including woodpeckers and we also found the biggest snail we have ever seen.
But after checking out the wildlife, it was time to head up to the cool, wet England.
We caught the ferry in Le Havre and landed in Portsmouth to stay with a friend in Bishops Waltham, we had stayed there on our way to France.
On the ferry we met a group of UK bikers who had spent a week in Germany, they were a very happy group and shared some very funny stories of their travels with us. It was good fun, we had had a similar experience on the way to France with another group.
In keeping up with expectations, our first day back in England is wet, windy and cool and the forecast isn't much better for the next week!
From Bishops Waltham we plan on heading across to Wales before heading back to Leicester to drop the bike off before heading down to London and back to Perth.
