Well after leaving the party city of Darwin with 24/7 drinking culture we hopped onboard the Quantas flilght to Cairns! Was greeted with lushious green rolling hills but my expected visions of clear blue skies, white sandy beaches and paradise views was instarntly shatered with an overcast sky and the main esplanade 'beach' consisting of a muddy swamp with crocodile warning signs everywhere and an abundance of crabs ruling that option out!

Heading up to Port Douglas tomorrow, Cape Tribulatuion the following day and booking myself onto the 5 day learn to dive course spending 2 days of theory then 3 days living on board the boat in the outer barrier reef and even a sneaky little night time dive to see the sharks in full flight!
