Well so after spending around 5 weeks working in Adelaide for Medecins Sans Frontier, pestering everyone the second they sat down for dinner or their little kids were screaming down the house in an attempt to get people to make pledges to the charity it was time to carry on the adventure!
Thoroughly enjoyed my Adelaide/Glenelg excperience, entirely made by the people I worked with! Highlights were plentyful, though not as extravagant as what was to follow but banging the gong at work (5 sign ups in the day, contributing to being the 5th highest roller in SA during my final week... with an impressive 14 sign ups), paintballing with everyone from work though i did get shot in the head whilst army crawling thru a some semi thick vegetation, hostel staff night out (my week's hoovering and handyman duties included me in the staff title), meeting characters such as Nico, Jo, Holly, Francois, the big lying fijian and everyone at MSF!
Had a few great nights out in PJ's for my leaving do, sat on Port Adelaide Pier hunting for dolphins with Laura, went to see Adelaide Avalanche ice hockey team vs Canberra Knights, saw Adelaide United vs some Japanese outfit, climbed the Mount Lofty overlooking the city and generally managed to stay alive in the city with the highest suicide rate in Australia... thank god its the city of churches so there's somewhere to bury them all!
