River Valley

On the way to River Valley we stopped at Tongariro Falls which is an area that a lot of The Lord Of The Rings was filmed! The scenery was amazing, we did a 2 hour walk and could see Mt. Doom, Mt. Ruaphem, and some big waterfalls.

We got to River Valley, it was a really nice hostel. Had a spa and volley ball court! However, the showers and toilets were like 'Im a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here'. One girl showered with a trantula on the curtain and only realised half way through! haha. The shower walls only came up to shoulder height so you can strangely look over the persons next to you whilst showering!! Very communal :) We stayed here 1 night, Kla got a jacuzzi with the girls and the guys played Volleyball all afternoon, and went jumping into the FREEZING river! Whilst all jumping into the river off the rocks Harrys knee bashed Laws head so Law had a massive lump!

Here at River Valley the dorms were called 'Orgy Dorms'. Basically there were no seperate beds, there was a huge, long plank of wood that mattresses were put on. Everyone had to spoon to sleep!

We only stayed in River Valley for 1 night, Headed to Wellington on the 3/2/11
