Miffy's Mischievous Adventures
Hi all,
My string of bad luck has continued! I had my flip flops nicked and I have since lost my mobile phone. Apart from that life is still really sweet.
Still completing all my academic work for the divemaster course and soon I will be finished which will be a bonus for my return to Kho Tao and the water. It means that I will not have to complete any knowledge reviews or turn up to any lectures and complete any more exams. I can just dive dive and dive and complete all the physical and stress tests... etc
Still loving the Thai boxing! Its getting more and more extreme as the sessions develop. My shins and foot are battered after each session but that just part of the process.
The group of people I'm hanging out with are really cool. Although it is a bit of a change over period at the minute with lots of people that have been hear for 2-3 months moving on or about to. As you can see from my photo's Roger recently left and we all when Thai 10 pin bowling which was interesting. The wood floors weren't level but the Burmese workers at the bottom of the lanes set the pin's up much quicker than the electronic system at home. Shortly after roger completed the snorkel test for successfully passing the divemaster qualification we had the end the bowling. This was due to the immigration police turning up and suddenly there wasn't any Burmese workers around and the pins don't set themselves up!
There was also a volleyball comp that buddha view entered. The team all turned out in pink - no idea why but Dave (about to leave the army - this explains a lot) was wearing a pink bikini to put off the opposition didn't seem to work as they lost both games. We did have a serious injury though and even more surprising it did involve me, serious pain and an operation. It involved paddy daddy and serious pain, a severely deformed arm and a operation. He snapped his arm in two just like i did a few years back - I've seem him since and the op when well and the cast will come off in 6 weeks.
Had a lovely sunday roast last night which was a complete change. Green Mango's is the only place on the island that serves a roast on a sunday and it was tremendous.
Well, I'd best go and relax as it's been a tough day doing nothing other than working out when my next lectures are. It either laying on the beach to sunbathe or swinging in my hammock reading a book, I can't decide!
Bye for now
Miffy x x x
PS. Paddy Daddy is on the left of this photo and his arm doesn't look like that any more!
