Miffy's Mischievous Adventures
Hi all,
I'm well frustrated......!! I'm going to bullet point the last 4 - 5 days or so as I don't want to talk about it
1. My mask broke of my first dive as a DMT and I had to abort the dive early.
2. Surfaced to quick due to a strong current meaning I couldn't complete the second dive due to to much nitrogen in my system (dive theory)
3. The pool session went fine
4. During my medical for the DMT course, the doctor discovered that I had perforated my ear drum (this happen during the rescue course). As the hole in my ear drum was big I had to travel to Kho Samui Bangkok Hospitalthe following day to se a specalist to see if I had to have a operation or not to fix it.
5. Traveling to Samui cost my a fortune and I got stranded there for the night.
6. No op but I've got to stay out of the water for a month! Can't hear that well and my new common phrases are - pardon, sorry can you say that again, what!
7. This causes a dilemma as I've just paid out approx six hundred quid to complete my DMT qualification and accommodation/bike hire for a month. Also it going to my whole travels back by a month. If you aren't diving on Kho Tao, there isn't a lot to do!
8.Crashed my bike at 40 because a stupid dog run out in front of me - how the .... I didn't really really hurt myself I do not know. Plenty of bruises and bleeding from a few places but apart from that I am fine but i'm going to have to pay a fine for the damage to the bike. There is a technique in crashing! I applied it well
9. Due to not being able to dive I've completed three of the lectures and passed them all first time.
10. I've started and completed the divemasters workbook and finish five of the nine modules.
11. I've decided to stay in Kho Tao for a bit as I can't afford to waste the money I've laid out for the months accommodation and bike hire etc. It is also a good place I can watch the world cup - thats what I'm telling myself anyway.
12. I've signed up to a Muay Thai Boxing course too. This will occupy some of my time during the day. I've had two sessions so far with my personal Thai Boxing trainer. It is awesome and he works me to the point that I nearly pass out! I've never sweated so much in my life. Still couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag though - this may change though
13. Met and mixed well with all the other DMT/IDC's. They are like a little community and there are some really lovely people.
14. Oh and I've started to buy some diving equipment too! Diving is seriously going to bankrupt me
Anyway its time to go
Bye good
Miffy
