Well, not a good start to the day. After a not particularly restful night, I woke up with a slight headache to overcast skies. The original plan was to take a ferry to Manly Beach and have a beach day. In the event, Rob and Linda decided to do their own thing and the rest of us met at the usual place (Costa Coffee) to decide what we'd do, because of the weather.
We didn't actually do much! The four of us took the free bus to Paddy's Market, a large two storey building with lots of market stalls. I didn't buy anything from there. After that we walked to Darling Harbour for lunch then we went back into Sydney to go a supermarket and on back to Darling Harbour, for a box of wine. Then we caught a ferry from DH to Central Quay, where the ship was docked.
Today was a major changeover day. Over 600 people left the ship and were replaced by newbies. That's just about a third of the passengers. I have new neighbours on both sides. The staff in the two main restaurants, Medina and Alexandria, also changed over. Although we're on freedom dining, which means that we can eat at any time, we seem to always sit at table 23, which means we've really got to know our two table waiters and wine waiter. Now we have to train up a whole new set!
No 21:30 quiz tonight, but we did do the Syndicate and lost.
I've never had a bad day in Sydney and today was no exception.
