29 degrees at 09:00. Easter Sunday. Weather was cloudy. After our mile, Barbara and I sat out on the Promenade Deck. Lots of small black dolphins in the sea and they leapt really high.
Around lunchtime we hit the Gulf of Teotlican(?), where the Captain said it would get choppier and windier as the winds roll down from the Sierra Madre mountains. It will be like this for a day. At one o'clock I was on deck 10 talking to Edward when all the chairs by the Terrace Pool just slid forward!
There was no BoS today, as Jo B is ill. Quite why the waste of space Cruise Director or his deputy couldn't take her place is beyond me. Deck quoits was interesting today. Because of the wind, we all played from the same end. Despite playing with the wind, the quoits were going all over the place. They suddenly just veered off in mid flight. I lost my game 9-8 and it was a very long game!
Lost IQ by one point. Lost pub quiz. Formal night tonight, so didn't bother with Syndicate Quiz, instead we sat on the Prom Deck for a while, chatting. I then went into Masquerades and spoke with Edward about his iPhone for a bit. He's having trouble downloading apps as the Internet is so slow at sea.
