Woke up late after a good night's sleep. Temperature was 25, and the day was slightly overcast with a fairly cool breeze.

The Battle of the Sexes resumed today. I'm the new captain and we're currently in the lead by 2 points. A long way to go, yet, though. Four more sea days before we get to Egypt.

Ships are obviously like buses, you wait three months, then two come along at once! At 15:30 we passed Queen Victoria going the other direction and then at 17:00 HMS Northumberland came by and went right round us twice. As I'm typing this, she's slowly overtaking us and I can see her through my cabin window.

Clocks back another hour tonight, that's GMT -3 or BST -2.

We'd promised Rosemary and Veronica, the two ladies on our Syndicate Quiz team, the next bottle of wine that we won, but we never seemed to win one! We won a bottle in the Champions Challenge (the Masquerade Challenge was held in Champions tonight), and agreed to give it to the ladies. So what happened? We promptly won the Syndicate Quiz without a tie break tonight! So two bottles won.
