A good day until I reboarded in the late afternoon. The weather was hot and humid, in the low 30's. The Legend of the Seas was moored by us.
Barbara, Linda, Rob and I grabbed a cab to Clarke Quay (got ripped off by the taxi driver). From there we took the river cruise past the Merlion to the new Marina Sands complex. We went up to the observation deck on floor 56 for spectacular views of Singapore. We could also see the famous infinity pool further along on the same level, but because we weren't hotel guests, we couldn't get any nearer.
A ride on the MRT to Orchard Road and an excellent lunch in a food court. Teppanyaki in a food court, who knew? We then strolled along Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road to Raffles Hotel. There was a queue outside the Long Bar, so we had our Singapore Sling in the Courtyard instead. It tasted a lot better than the last one I had there a few years back.
Then a taxi back to the ship. In my cabin, I realised that I had lost my new camera. I think I had it with me when I left Raffles, so I must have left it in the cab, the cruise terminal or in the Orangery. Wherever it is, I'm not happy. This is also the reason there is no picture for this particular blog.
Kate Robbins in the theatre tonight, not much good. Another bottle of wine in the Masquerade Challenge. We didn't do the Syndicate Quiz, as we were all tired and had to be up early for Kuala Lumpur.
