A very long day, but a good one. The four of us got off at 9:00 and booked the Big Bus hop on hop off tour. We first did the Beach route. This took us from Bur Dubai along Jumeira. We saw the large flag pole and flag, Jumeira Mosque, Jumeira Beach, the Burj Al Arab and on to the Mall of the Emirates. We got off here and had lunch. Then a coffee in Starbucks, so we could hit the Internet. I updated all my apps on both the iPad and phone, read my emails, but forgot to upload yesterday's blog! We took a quick look at the ski slope and went on the Metro to Bur Jurman.

Then it was back on to the Big Bus for the City tour. This took us to the Creek, where saw the museum, the Grand Mosque and Heritage Centre. We got off at the Gold Souk, but didn't buy anything. Next we caught an abra, a water taxi, back across the Creek and hopped the Metro to the Dubai Mall. We then went outside to see the dancing fountains by the Burj Khalifa. This was a short but good show. Back into the mall for a Chinese meal on the terrace before grabbing a cab back to the ship. The speed limit was 70 kmh, but he hit 100 sometimes. Back on board at just about 21:00. We did the Syndicate Quiz but were rubbish.

The Costa Atlantica had moored alongside during the night, and sometime whilst we were out a Fred Olsen ship (the Balmoral, maybe) also arrived.

A good start to Sector Five. Now we have 5 sea days until Egypt.
