This morning we moved location again! We caught a private bus from Flores to a boat jetty (which was about 2.5hrs). Along the way, we saw a lot of lonesome cowboys riding their horses along the road, but disappointedly not as many pigs as what we saw yesterday!
We got to the boat and hauled our luggage into the boat!! I'm surprised we didn't sink the boat, considering my bag is not the heaviest bag on this trip surprisingly, then multiply that by 11 people!!
We sailed past a fortress which was used for defending against pirates!! Like real pirates of the carribean!!! Would be more than happy for captain jack to sail my way!!
Then we sailed to our hotel, which are these really cool cabins on the banks of the Rio Dulce! We quickly dropped off our bags and then jumped back on our boat to tour the Rio Dulce!!
We toured around checking out the wild life, little islands and stopped off for a seafood lunch over the water!
We then continued on our journey and ended up in a little town called Livingston! This was a very small town that had a pretty cool reggae feel to it!! But boy was it hot!! We were sweating like there was no tomorrow!! I got a couple of braids put in my hair, 2 either side!! I was going for the last of the Mohicans look!! After a beautiful frozen yogurt, we were back on the boat for a trip back to the hotel!! The trip back was pretty choppy, but totally alright!! No one was sick, which is the main thing!!
This afternoon we just lazed around the pool and chatted!!! We have come to realise that the sun gods must be happy with us!! We have had nothing but blazing sun!! It is the middle of rainy season, and we have been very lucky that all the rain we have had has either been over night or whilst we have been on a bus!! Very very lucky!! I'm touching wood though!!!
