Friday, June 3: Well another sunny day in beautiful Greece! After a long day of walking around Athens looking at the ruins we got to sleep in for a little bit. We went down to eat breakfast at around 9:30 once we all woke up a little. After breakfast we went walking around Glyfada doing a little shopping. We were looking for some shops that would have cute Greece clothing but we struck out three times not finding anything that we were looking for. It was already a hot day with plenty of sunshine so we gave up with the shopping and decided to go to the beach.

After picking up a few refreshments from the grocery store we walked back to the Hotel London with is about a 10-minute walk from all the store along a busy street. This street is very scary! The cars here drive like maniacs! Sure not like in North Dakota! Well after we made it back to our hotel safely we changed for the beach and then had some lunch. The guys had left us to go get some lunch at KFC and then they were going to meet us at the tram station. So Melanie, Lindsey, Bailey, Kaliee, and I finished our lunch and then headed off to the tram station to meet the guys.

When we arrived at the tram station they guys were not there. We bought our tickets and had a seat in the sun. Across the tracks was a man just sitting there, and after awhile Kaliee and I had notice that he kept looking at us. After about 20 minutes he came over to by where we were sitting. He tried to see us something saying something about a child. By this time we had been started to get uneasy! Well we had messaged the guys to see where they were at and they had said they had just finished eating and were about to leave. When ignoring the man didn't work Bailey had raised her voice and said, "shoo". Thankfully the man got on the next tram that had arrived and we could finally sit a little easier while waiting for the guys.

Well they guys finally came and we were on our way to the beach. We had seen a beach that had water blow-up toys the day before so we thought we would try this spot out first. When we arrive the beach was full but we still found a spot to lie on the beach. By this time I was ready to go for my first swim in the sea! It was awesome and so salty! It was hard for me to get use to at first that is for sure. Surprisingly it was very cold as well, but on this warm day it felt really good!

After a couple hours of just lying on the beach and having a few drinks Jordan, Melanie, Nyland, Zach, Kailee, Bailey, Lindsey, and I all decided to go try out the water blow-up toys. It was 5 Euros for an hour and we had the whole play area to ourselves, which was really nice! There was two water trampolines connected by a log, a iceberg climbing wall and another rocking toy. First thing we did was to race to the top of the climbing wall to see who could get to the top first. Of course Jordan, Nyland, and Zach got to the top first since they work out five times a day! Haha. I finally made it to the top of the iceburg along with Lindsey and Bailey. Melanie and Kailee were another story, they were laughing to hard and it might have been possibly due to too much tequilla... After playing on the toys for almost an hour we were all very tired! It was starting to cloud up and it was around 6 o'clock so we decided to head back to the hotel and get cleaned up for dinner.

For dinner we had all decided that we would get dressed up and splurge. We went to a restaurant that was right on the water and sat outside on the patio overlooking the water. We ordered a couple pitchers of wine to split between the girls. We ordered some food and had a great time being with our whole group.

After dinner we wanted to go into Athens to see the city lit up from up on the hill. So we jumped on the tram and headed into the center of Athens. Jordan had the route all planned out just to find that the trams were only running to a certain stop at that time of night due to protests going on further up on the tracks. We would have had to walk two miles to the place where we would get to the top of the hill. Since it was already around 11 pm we decided to just find a bar and head back to the hotel. Once back at the hotel we all just headed to bed since we were exhausted from all the sun. Friday was another great day in Athens, Greece!
