Our last day in Vietnam! I could cry! I never want to leave but our glught is booked for tomorrow lunch we will be in Malaysia... Today I woke up at 6:00am!! Believe it or not!! Then I couldn't get back to sleep I was too wide awake! So spent a few hours sorting my rucksack again and generally trying to fill an empty space of time! I decided I wasnt gonna sit around and wait for Annie and Dah, they probably went and got wrecked last night and then will just sleep all day! Nothing new for us, and there's so much of this city to see still so I had every intention of sightseeing around alone... Got showered and ready and was just heading out the door when Annie arrived and said they were both coming with...
So we went for breakfast at the usual restaraunt, usual table, different order of rice ;) I like to mix things up so much you know ;)
We sat debating what we should go and see, but Dahs done all of the museums and temples and Everything there is to do here so there goes my idea of actually seeing the Notre Dame Cathedral from the inside for once and for all! So instead we ended up deciding we would just throw all culture out the window and go to the cinema!
Went to see Anrraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter! Dah is such a bad influence, just like Din! We blame them! In fact, we blame everybody but ourselves for keeping us out partying and drinking alcohol so late and not seeing any sights! ;) in this cinema every single person in there answered there phones for a general chit chat half way through the film! I think you'd get thrown out in England but here everybody does it... Theres no discretion about it either one guy sat behind me was having a full blown argument and practically shouting down the phone! I just found it funny! Dah also realised after we bought the tickets that he'd already seen the film! There's clearly nothing this boy hasn't done! Ha!
When we left, it was the strangest thing, when we walked past a restaurant which sprays water/mist from the canopy to keep you cool, it felt like ot carried on spraykng for ages, until we realised it was actuat raining without a speckle of a cloud in sight, just clear blue sky! Odd!
We stopped off at a stall for Da to eat on the way home and when we got back had to go do boring stuff like print out our flight details ( nothing like leaving it until last minute) I don't even know where my passport is!! It costs £1.30 for 8 sheets black and white so I guess cheaper than home? But such an effort to find somewhere that we could actually print out e-mails!!
We went back and Annie left to go see Da again so I told them to be ready to do something by 6:30... Showered got ready to go, met Zorro, waited 20minutes before calling them and they were fast asleep! We left an hour later at 7:25 after saying it would only take 10minutes to get ready... Please!
Wandered where Zorro wanted to go for tea, he took us to KFC! What a glorious place for us to meet the rest of his group of friends did the fist time...?!! Ha
We then went to 83 bar to drink beer! You know how we just love beer! NOT! I think Annie and Da were drunk from the first one seen as chef not eaten, KFC don't do vegetarian meals, totes awks! So Zorrow ordered more food at the bar with more friends so annie could casually eat infront of them for the first time, totes even more awks!...
We stayed there drinking for a few hours until we plucked up the courage to go... (don't think we're tacky tourists, it certainly wasn't my idea) sing karaoke!
There's so many karaoke bars here, the Asians absolutely love it, surprisingly not really a touristy thing to do here! It's called ibox and it's not in a bar or anything, you hire private rooms to yourselves within the shopping complex it's built inside And you have someone wait on you! Very odd!
Took the wrong turn on freeway getting there and went 10 minutes in the wrong direction, so altogether took half an hour! Was a nice detour around spaghetti junction I guess!
We went and sang in the most awkward and random situation I've been in! Da and Zorrow loved it and started getting into a load of ballads!! Me and annie loved their singing! But none for us though, all the soundproof walls in the world couldn't disguise my tones! :/
It took a while at first for us to warm up to the idea but in the end because Zorro just didn't care about founding bad, it rubbed off and so we joined in! We ended up staying until gone midnight (2 hours there) 406,000dong £12.00 inc four beers! And made for a funny night so all is good ;) not exactly how we imagined we would bd sending our last night in Vietnam mind? :/ ha!
Went for my last meal in vietnam and wanted it to be a memorable one so tried more local food, broken Rice with bbq pork and pork skin shavings... Mixed with soy and chilli (some have it with oyster sauce or fish) it tastes beaut! I love pork here, I love FOOD here! Will actually cry tomorrow!
