Got up to go for breakfast before another delightful trip to the embassy! God how we just love going there! It's our second home!

We now had printed photos! We got a tuk tuk to what we assumed would be a photo booth, when it was actually just a woman with a digital camera who took a photo of us in a room in her shop! As she uploaded the photos to the computer me and Annie got our Tyra Banks on! Her Tank top showed her shoulders do she had to wear an old fusty grey suit jacket! I bet it was riddled with fleas!

But still needed transport ticket in, accommodation booked, and transport out of the country booked! It's impossible to do!! You can't book everything until your actually there!! We could book the bus into China which was $95 and book a guesthouse for a few nights but then booking a bus out of the country is impossible we don't know where we will be or when so our only option would be to book a flight straight from Beijing to Hanoi (Vietnam) but this costs £200!

All together if you added all of this together including what money we've wasted travelling to and from the embassy and spending a week in Vientiane it would cost, £350! Plus the visa is £60 and it takes four days to come through so another four days of expenses!! Then all of our travel through Southern China making our way up to Beijing, two weeks accommodation, it's costing us well over £600 for 2 weeks! Which is crazy for backpackers, I could go to Egypt from England for two weeks all inclusive in a 5* hotel for that! China is going to be the death of us! The idea is seeming less and less appealing everyday we day we waste!

So we've now decided we can't go to China :(( Vietnamese visas are instant so we don't have to be stuck here for another 4 days! So Vietnam it is! We got our visas through our guesthouse which was easy peasy, costs £34 and they booked the bus to the capital city of Hanoi too which was £16! Sold! If only China could've been so simple too :(
