Today we were up for breakfast at 9:00 as usual, and then walked all the way to the Chinese visa embassy!

The guy from the reception said it would take 30 minutes, it took us an hour and a half! Arrived knackered and sweating and them the god-damn place was closed! I mean really? God doesn't want me to get to China!!! It was 'annual closing' surely someone would have known and could've told us this before the treck in the sweating hot sun!

Annie was dripping wet with sweat and wasn't willing to walk back so we had to get a tuk tuk back for 30,000! (£3)

The tuk tuk drive took us 30 minutes to get back so clearly the receptionist meant 30 minutes by tuk tuk not by foot! By the time we got back I think we both wanted to die, yet another day now wasted with nothing to do! :(

Had an iced coffee in our guesthouse to calm down the stress and to decide what to do with our day... Nothing! There is nothing more to see! Vientiane is probably the most relaxed, chilled out capital city in the world! It's even less populated than Cambodia! The population of Laos is around 7million!

Went to eat in the cute lady stall, yet again! Same old same old! We're still staying in the more expensive room as we just couldn't be bothered to move our bags and stuff to a different room! In the afternoon we thought we may as well make the most of paying for the cable tv, and watched You again! Such a funny film, until it lost signal 2/3rds the way in! Don't you just love it when that happens! :| think I will sue HBO
