MOSCOW!
Wow, we made it to Moscow, 12,000 Kilometres from when we started on the second of May back in South Korea, it seems so long ago and so far away.
Back to Moscow though, we would have never thought Moscow would be like this, it is amazing, there are so many people and so much happening and the building, history and architecture. We went into a building yesterday, the first English embassy building in Moscow, over five hundred years old, the site of the Kremlin has been occupied since before Christ, Saint Basil's cathedral at the eastern end of Red Square celebrated 450 years on Tuesday! But what a city of contrast, we have seen just about every make of car on the road and it is absurd to see so many police cars on the road, but to see a Ferrari at full throttle weaving through the traffic closely followed by a V8 AMG Mercedes, to walk down a street of restaurants with Audi, BMW and Bentleys parked out the front, but then to turn a corner and find a government building with grass growing up through the steps while drunks site at the bottom of a statue and drink. Where a begger speaks better English than a shop assistant so that he can ask for money.
We have found a hostel that is a ten minute walk from Red Square to stay at that isn't too expensive, but is more than we are used to paying. We had the bike serviced yesterday and as usual I think we paid too much for too little, but after what the bike has been through we thought it best and it is still under warranty so wanted BMW to look at it. We will probably leave here on Friday as our visas run out on the 24th and we still have a long way to go.
Thanks to all of you that have left comments, it is great to hear from people back home.
