Thank goodness we were able to get the GPS replaced because it wasn't easy navigating around Copenhagen, but with the help of the GPS we found a caravan park not too far out of the city. When we arrived though they told us the camping ground was closed because it was flooded, but we were welcome to look around the remainder of the park to see if we could find anywhere dry enough to set up our tent, after quite a bot of searching we found some ground that didn't squelch too much when we walked on it! The next day we headed into the city, in the rain, and found another old city with fantastic history and building, but we were very disappointed with all the graffiti on everything, even old buildings dated in the seventeenth century and they are also in the middle of an election so the politicians have posters up on almost everything else, it was very hard to get photos without a poster in it! Despite this we saw where Hans Cristian Anderson had lived for a while and a statue of The Little Mermaid from his book. We only spent the one day in Copenhagen as the rain was not making it too pleasant to stay and we are finding that staying in cities is putting a stain on our budget, and we had seen what we wanted, it is not a big city. The next day we packed up, it wasn't raining and rode across Denmark into Germany. The country side was mainly farming and there wasn't much that we saw that made us want to stop, so in one day and less than a tank of fuel we had crossed Denmark!

Lisa McIntyre I've spent one day in Copenhagen too - I didn't feel like it was nearly enough time but then again, I had fabulous weather when I was there so that probably gives you a different perspective!
