Some veŕy nice overlooks as we left Larrabee and headed down Chuckanut Drive. Saw some salmon fishermen and some catches that looked 3 feet long. We bike through Annacortes, a ferry town to the San Juan islands. Unfortunately I hit a bumb which damaged my partially attached rack and jammed my rear tire. I was able to fix it enough to get to camp. One of our crew, Katherine, broke a spoke and had to be rescued. Deception Pass State Park was where we stayed.

Started out in a driving rain storm that luckily dissipated when we got to the border. 40 mile ride put us back in our camcampsite in Larrabee State Park. On to Deception pass tomorrow.

The entire group met up today. We made alot of new friends and planned the route to the Canadian border. Heavy rain started this afternoon and is supposed to last until noon tomorrow. It looks like our first day is going to be a wet one.

Today we returned our car at Bellingham Airport and took A taxi to the Trek Bike store. We jumped on our bikes and did a quick 13 mile bike check. We stooped in Fairhaven for lunch before returning to Larrabee State Park for a walk on the beach. We meet the entire cycling crew tomorrow.

Today we went whale watching out of Bellingham. Enjoyed the the entire day and saw two pods of killer whales. Tomorrow we will pick up our bikes and get ready to ride.
