Today was 60 miles of mostly rain with a few 400 foot hills thrown in. It was a pleasant ride along the Columbia River. The last 20 miles was along a road with highspeed traffic which was nerve wracking when the rain was really coming down. Tonight some of us will camp and others will stay in a small cabin at Elochoman Slough Marina.

Today was a hard day. Could not remove my tire to change my second flat. There was only one bike store in the county and that was a mobile van. Luckily we found Jesse at Cycleworks to change my tire. He would not sell me a new inner tube but would patch my tire which worked. Today was a challenging but beautiful ride. The roads were lightly traveled and mostly wooded. Sheldon was the only town we bike through. With 20 miles to go I got a flat tire and a co- rider, Katherine broke a spoke. Despite a new innertube I still had a slow leak. Three miles out, Ĺaura and I found Katherine dazed and lying in a ditch with a badly damaged bike. We called 911. Katherine was diagnosed with a broken shoulder and broken elbow. Today was a tough day as it was 73 milies and over 3,000 feet elevation. Rain hit us for part of the day too. We passes through a shipyard and saw some really impressive ships. It was overcast so I didn't get any great pictures. We camped at Belfair State Park.

Biked 40 miles to Port Townsend. Enjoyed the ferry as part of our route. No showers or laundry as promised. Spent the night at Fort Warden State Park.
