So my mum was nagging me about not having written anything for a while, so here goes!
baaaaaaaasically, i'm all settled in Coogee (my new favourite place, would be very happy living here for a few years!) where living with the lovely Miss Katharine McMath in a house that is a stones through away from the sea. it's amazing. apart from the fact that we've acquired a Huntsman spider-huge tarantula, it's huuuugeee, but randomly i'm not scared of it?! but i haven't woken up with it on my face yet, so if that happens i'm sure my opinion of it will change!! so we're here in this house until 18th march when we'll be moving to an AMAAAAAAAAAZING apartment, living with an english and aussie guy, we'll have a 40inch tv, with foxtel (sky) lovely balcony, huge room with ensuite and only a 2min walk from our office/the beach, so much nicer thn the 20min trek up and down the mountain that we're having to endure at the moment!
jobs...so yeah, i've been doing a few hours coaching at a club just 15min walk from the house, and it's niiiice, even though one set of kids are the spawn of the devil i swear...only 4more weeks of that torture so i'm just thinking of the money! we've also got a few promo jobs which are pretty damn good, can't lie! we're working for OzPArty, company that does pubcrawls around sydney every thurs and sat, and what kat and i have to do is sell tickets for that, promote the cruises, and work on the buses every other week. so basically we're paid to party. loves it. we get to meet such amazing people too, coz the kinda people that go on it are our kinda people anyway, so made some really good friends through that! we've also started doing work for a club called the Gaff, annnd other lil bits and bobs so i'm FINALLY starting to save my money, it's nice! i'm probably going to end up being richer here than i was back home!!!
but we're here for another 3months, when it'll start becoming winter time in sydney and we will force ourselves to leave and head up the coast (it's a hard life i know, but someone's gotta do it!)
so that's my brief update of my life, my poor liver is taking a bit of a beating atm but i've given up mcdonalds and dominos for lent, so at least my body won't be dying of both booze and fast food! if it makes you all feel a little bit better then i'll let you know that it's been raining ALL DAY here today, but tbf i'm happy coz i cba to leave the house, wanna just slob around and watch tv...it woulkd be nice to have a nice roast dinner though! kat and i are also tempted to steal a kitten from the vets down the road coz we both miss out cats, but we're pretty sure that it'd be frowned upon and we don't want to get kicked out the country!!
OH ALSO, was mardi gras on saturday-those of you on facebook will be seeing the pictures slowly go up (i apologise mum for the state of me in some of them) but it was the BEST DAY! biggest street party in the wwwoooorrrllldddd, and we were on a cruise throughout the afternoon, in glorious sunshine around sydney harbour, before heading the watch the parade and partying the night away at the gaff. what more could you want?! there's gonna be another one for st patrick's day which we are all SO excited about!! good, good times!!!
