Arrive in Sihanoukville 30/4. It is right on the coast and the hostel we stayed in was about 1 min walk - Billiant!
The first night we walked down to the beach and sat in a cool bar with swinging seats and jazzy music. The Beach is lined with Cafes and bars and has a really nice feel to it.
We then proceeded to spend the next 3 days on the beach! Enjoying the sea and afternoon naps - hard work all this relaxation. We met up with some people we met in Vietnam which was cool, think they are going to follow us all the way to Thailand!
Have really enjoyed it as the locals (well most of them) have been really friendly. We have even managed to learn quite a bit of the language. The only issues is the Children trying to sell you stuff on the beach. Most of them are ok, but some of them have got agressive when you don't want to buy anything. I (gem) got blueberries thrown at me - how rude!
Had a really good meal one night. It was a local vegetable curry...in a coconut! It was amazing. Just wish we had the camera.
After a few days of lounging about we have decided to move on further down the coast to kampot. It homes one of the major sites in Cambodia, an abandoned hill station and Bokor national park so that should be interesting.
