Henry Doorly Zoo – Omaha, NE
On Friday (June 4) we went to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha NE, with my cousins Carly, Noah and Hannah. The last time I was here, I was just a baby when my Grandpa Paul took us to the zoo.
We first went to see the “Lied Jungle” which had a lot of monkeys, rope bridges, and waterfalls. It felt like we were Indiana Jones. We then went to the new butterfly and insect exhibit, which had a lot of bugs, spiders and other insects, but not a lot of flying butterflys. After that, we went to the IMAX theatre to see a 3D movie about bugs. It was very interesting and scary to see bugs so huge and in 3D!
Then, we all went to see the gorillas, bears, and tigers on the way to see the Madagascar exhibit. Because we were getting tired of walking, we took a train ride around the rest of the zoo to see the other animals. This was a fun day spending time with my cousins and seeing lots of animals.
