Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village
Today we got up excitedly because we are going to Henry Ford's Greenfield Village, so we ate breakfast and drove off. It seemed to take a very long time to get there but it was worth it. Henry Ford was the guy who created Ford cars but there is a lot more to that. His museum was not just about him but a lot about other people who made a difference in history. Abraham Lincoln's chair that he got shot in was there and President Kennedy's limousine where he got shot in was there as well. After we looked around the museum we went to a restaurant to eat lunch. We all decided to go to the village next so we walked to it. It was a big village made up homes, buildings and factories of famous people like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, the Wright Brothers, Noah Webster and others that you got to go in. There were 2 actor scenes. We saw one of the Wright brothers and one with Thomas Edison. There were shops of food and garden stuff and a old church and schools and lots of stuff. We watched a game of old fashioned Baseball on an oval that played the rules of 1864. There was a black smith workshop and factories like glass, pottery, tin, weaving and Thomas Edison's Menlo Park Factory. At the end of the day we got to ride in a 1914 and 1927 Model T around the village. It was a fun day but sadly we have to leave so we drove home.
