Arriving in Brisbane the day before the ashes there was a great atmosphere around the place. We couldn't check in for another 4 hours when we arrived so we went to the Gabba for a trial run for the next day. 10 minutes on the bus. Easy as you like. After our sky dive we had nothing planned for the next week at Gilligans. We were lucky with our room mates for that week meeting Emma, Alanna and Tom. Ended up spending most of our time with them going out a few times as well. Most of the week we chilled out by the pool as it was the only place where it wasn't uncomfortably hot. We had a day to chill at frasers hostel before our overnight bus to Airlie which was lucky enough the day of the Melbourne Cup. Watched the race with a few bets on I ended up calling the winner for a nice little $70 profit. So in the evening we got on the bus up to Airlie beach which took 14 hours arriving Wednesday morning. Thursday afternoon we made our way to the dock to get on our boat new horizon for the Whitsunday Island's.

Early rise for white water rafting today. We got picked up from our hostel and arrived at the Tully river about an hour later. We got put into groups and we put on your life jacket and helmet. I volunteered along with Adam to be in the lead positions in the raft which meant setting the pace of the rowing.
