Back again, probably for the last time in a while, as we're leaving behind the luxury of things like bedrooms, a roof, tv & of course internet. Heading to Christchurch on Thursday to pick up our Wicked van & get back on the road, this time in a 2 car convoy.

Yesterday we planned a day trip to a place called Tunnel Beach. We read a little about it before & didn't think it would have too much to offer, but we were wrong!

It took roughly an hour to get there after a few map reading stops & realised that once again we failed to associate high winds with coastal regions! Well, us boys did at least! Armed with just shorts & a t-shirt we started the short but steep hike down to the beach.

The views were incredible, the rock formations stood out from the coastline, as the waves smashed into them causing huge sprays of water & a lot of noise. We reached the cliff face & wandered out to the edge of one headland to get some pics. It was so windy I actually thought we might take off.

Then we walked through the tunnel to the beach. It was a man made tunnel with steps leading down, but it wasn't exactly spacious! Once at the bottom you walk out onto a secluded little beach surrounded all ways by cliffs. It was stunning. We all led on the beach & chilled out, taking pics & generally arsing about. The walk back up was strenuous, but it was worth the effort to see what was down there. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Didnt do much in the evening, just ate & watched a movie, again!!
