N+G set off for a lap of the lake on the motorbike. We walk about 2 miles to Sulzano. Today the haze haqs lifted showing off the colours of the mountains across the lake, and although warm there is a fresh breeze. Sulzano is a sleepy little town but one point of interest is a garden centre selling olive trees and bald cypress trees about 3m tall in large pots [too big for souvenirs]. Another hot, hazy day. We meet at the ferry station and sail across to Monte Isola, the largest inland island in Europe. [see yesterday's link about M.Isola] Surprisingly it is quieter now than last September. We find a cafe for light lunch then wander about the small town of Peschiera Maraglio and out along the lakeside to the small park where we get a cooling granita drink. The temperature stayed above 30C all night and we are glad of the new fan to run when we wake early in the morning. We know from last year that Iseo has a market on Tuesdays so we head in, and meet N+G who go on the motorbike, to take a look. After the market we look around Iseo town for a while then make our separate ways back to the site. Convenient but noisy is the only way to describe this stop, but at €8.40 it was good value. We have two hours on the autoroute with the gauge showing 35-36C, and wall to wall trucks. As we approach Iseo we have a few long, dark tunnels high above the lake. As we exit one tunnel Snoopy says 'now turn right'. Our car park stopover was peaceful for the night but hot and uncomfortable with the mozzies. We take the autoroute to Vicenza.
