The temperature stayed above 30C all night and we are glad of the new fan to run when we wake early in the morning.

We know from last year that Iseo has a market on Tuesdays so we head in, and meet N+G who go on the motorbike, to take a look. After the market we look around Iseo town for a while then make our separate ways back to the site. The air is hazy, masking the mountains and island, but it is warm watching the wildlife. There is a grebe with two chicks who follow, cheeping away, but go silent as soon as the adult dives for food. At times the adult stays underwater for over a minute before surfacing with a fish, then the chicks race towards it cheeping loudly again. Coots dive in the clear, shallow water and can be seen swimming and foraging among the rocks.

In the evening Ali does a stir-fry on the BBQ and we watch another spectacular sunset.
