Convenient but noisy is the only way to describe this stop, but at €8.40 it was good value. We have two hours on the autoroute with the gauge showing 35-36C, and wall to wall trucks. As we approach Iseo we have a few long, dark tunnels high above the lake. As we exit one tunnel Snoopy says 'now turn right'. The Iseo exit was not signed before the tunnel and inside it there were no 500/300m warnings so we miss the exit. A mile or so later we take the Sulzano exit and wind down a twisty road to lake-level then it's two miles back to the site at Camping Covelo where we stayed after Monza last Septemper.

We are given a welcoming drink before checking in and being led to two prime pitches, lakeside at the quiet end of the site shaded by trees.
It's beautiful, and the watery breeze cools the 32C in our shady haven. We loaf about for the afternoon, variously swimming, boating and birdwatching, then go to the restaurant for dinner where we meet Luca, the manager, who was so helpful last year, and says he is pleased we came back.
There is a wonderful sunset and before we turn in Ali has another swim in the lake.
