Apparently the Tuesday market is a small one. The big one is Friday so it is inevitable we must go.
It's 32C when we meet on the edge of the stalls, which run from the seafront right up to the fountain on the roundabout. Tuesday's is mainly food but today the majority of stalls sells clothing and shoes. There are others selling cushions, tools, toys and one with budgies, chipmunks and goldfish.
We stop for lunch as they start packing up. The vans have sophisticated systems for their roll out sides and automatic awnings; at the pressing of buttons the giant covered arcades fold and morph, 'Transformer' like, into white box-vans and drive away.
Back on site we watch the grebes, ducks ant water-skiers until it is time for dinner. Tonight is pizza and pasta party night; all you can eat for €5/head. Long tables are laid out on the lawn below the restaurant. We get end seats and are joined by Dutch couple, Martin and Ali and their two children. It's a good evenng as staff deliver and endless supply of food to the tables. When we can all eat no more, Luca invites everyone to come for limoncilla. The music is cranked up, many people are dancing and ice-creams are served. Later in the evening we chat with Rob and Della, Brits living in Melbourne who keep a caravan in England for touring Europe each year.
The part is a great way of meeting other campers, and the fun goes on 'til after midnight. It's also a great way to end our relaxing and enjoyable stay here.
