We leave home at 15:00 and stop for fuel at Asda. Drizzle, fog and sunny spells all the way to Torpoint where we join the ferry at 17:10 arriving Millbay dock 17:30. Pont Aven is alongside and we only have to wait until 18:15 to check in, but it is 20:00 before we can drive onboard. The loading marshal gives us plenty of room for the lift.
We go to the bar for a Guinness then into the restaurant for a very nice 4 course meal with a bottle of Bergerac wine. For starters we have langoustine ravioli with a bisque, but we would have liked more langoustine in the ravioli. Dessert is soufflé with a shot of grand marnier, so by the time we finish we're a bit squiffy.
Out on the stern to watch the wake disappear into the dark sea then off to bed.
