We left Olympos early for a long journey through mountains and plains to make our way inland to a bush camp in the ilhara valley, the took us to the snow line when crossing the mountains, until we stopped for our camp sharing it with Turkish gypsies next to a dam and a howling dog!
It was also the first time we encountered the strange rock homes in this region. The next day we stopped off at the Ilhara valley for a hike and closer look at the cave churches and homes, beautiful.
