We have arrived at Dereli campsite near Ephesus ancient city of the Greeks and Romans, we are camping right on the beach, and cooking on open fires, however, paradise always has another side and that is mosquitoes! they are everywhere and a few people have suffered, not us, really as we took precautions. Also some of the group went straight in the sea and promptly got themselves sun burnt and are now gingerly walking around, still they are not to bad and it will settle down in a couple of days. We visited the ancient site first thing and had the chance to wander round, before the crowds arrived well done to our driver, Adam, for sorting this out, we were able to really take in the atmosphere of the place. The weather is hot, and breezy. Today we caught the local mini bus to Seljuk and wandered around taking in the atmosphere of the market, where you could buy just about everything, the afternoon just siting in the sun, tomorrow we are making our way to Oludeniz via a bushcamp.
We have now received our Iranian visas and our tour leader, Polly and one of the group, Jamo has caught us up with the passports, so all is go for Iran in two weeks time.
