Marty's Trips
It was a cold night camping and I'm in no rush to get up and on the bike. It's mid morning when I arrive in Thunder Bay and find the institution that is ?, a Scandinavian cafe that was set up in the early 1900's to provide cheap meals for the single working men of the area. It's a hidden gem with good value meals and friendly staff. Fueled up, I hit the road for a big days ride. A lot of great music, a French lesson and a few refuels and I pass through the longitudinal centre of Canada and into Manitoba. Saying goodbye to Ontario I set my watch back an hour and the forests give way to prairies 50km east of Winnipeg, eluding to the ride tomorrow. I find a guesthouse in the centre of town (a pretty old heritage house) and plan the tomorrow.
