I spend the morning checking out Winnipeg and visit Fort Garry Hotel (the most haunted building in Canada), Grand Central Station, The Forks, and Downtown. The city centre has a nice feel, enhanced by many heritage buildings. I make my way though the hatred sprawl around midday and in no time at all I'm on a arrow straight road west through the prairies.
I cross into Saskatchewan and arrive in McLean around 6pm. Danielle and Adrian give me a warm welcome and after a shower and dinner, we head into Indian Head to catch up with their friends Sarah and Eric for drinks around a bonfire. Sarah is a funeral director and I spend an intriguing evening learning about what REALLY happens when you die. Eric's bonfire gets out of hand when he adds a set of old wooden stairs and burns through the fire pit.
